pricing & fees
The pricing and fees outlined in the links below are approximate (odd-)ballpark figures.
initial project consultation
We are always happy to discuss your desired project with you. Our conversations with you to map out the type of service or product you are seeking are free. Whether it’s by phone or by email, we will answer any questions you have, as well as ask you questions to accurately determine the vision and scope of your project. We want you to end up with a final product that is exactly what you wanted, one that you are proud of!
statements-of-work & deposits
Before beginning any project, we will issue to you a statement-of-work (SOW) that details the scope of the work to be done as was discussed in our consultations. Your job is to thoroughly review the SOW, making sure that it is accurate, and letting us know if any part of it needs to be revised. Our work will begin once the final SOW is approved and signed by you (and us, of course), and sent to us along with a deposit payment. The deposit is usually 50% of the total fee for the project, with a $75 minimum.

We accept payments made by personal check, money order, or cashier’s check. Credit card payments and recurring payments can be made via PayPal.

proofing & product evaluation
As soon as a working demo or design proof of a project is available, we will send it to you to review. We ask that you proof it thoroughly, making sure it’s on track to achieve your desired result (as described in the SOW). Check for typos, mistakes, and any other quirky things that just might end up in the product (gremlins come into our offices at night, we swear!). We’ll make the necessary changes, and then send you another proof, until all is correct and you officially sign off on the project and final product.
invoices, installments, & final payments
Invoices will be issued to you accordingly, during and/or after the project. For most projects, an invoice will be sent to you (along with final art files, application access, etc., as applicable) after work is completed and approved . The invoiced amount is due within 30 days from the date of the invoice.
For longer, more involved projects (usually web app development jobs), we request fee installments, paid as working demos are delivered.
Recurring projects (for example, design layout for a quarterly magazine) require an initial deposit at the beginning of work for the first issue. The remaining balance of the fee for one issue is then due 30 days after the completion of that issue. Completion of an issue is at the point you ok it and we send it to the printer.
