The Resident Oddball Resume…kinda.

In a nutshell…

The “fastest three minutes in television“…

Your “headline news“….

Here’s an overview of my work experience, accomplishments, highlights, and such.

I’ve spent nearly a decade as an Audio Engineer, recording, mixing, and producing song demos, advertising jingles, and full-length CDs for clients all over the country (a handful of them from other parts of the world).  Operating mostly in a digital multi-track recording studio on Nashville’s Music Row, I have worked with some of the most talented singers, songwriters, and musicians.  I witnessed and experienced pure creativity blossoming day in and day out, amidst intense (but always fun) project collaboration.

My career as a Graphic Designer began during this time.  Recording artists who completed their CDs with us usually would also need artwork, inserts, traycards, etc. to then take to a replication service.  I had also teamed up with the fine folks at American Songwriter Magazine, located just down the Row, assisting them with the layout of their bi-monthly issues.  Since then, I’ve continued to work with the former publisher of Songwriter.  We currently design, manage, and produce two quarterly publications — The Western Way (since 2002) and Monty Roberts’ Join-Up Journal (since 2006).

More recently I’ve tapped into my uber-geek love of computers, internet, and code, serving as a Business Solutions Architect.  Both independently and for major corporations, I have consulted on a variety of web-based applications, in industries such as health insurance, employee recruiting, music, and entertainment.  I work closely with both the application builders and the end-users to transform a client’s desired functionality into coded reality.  I oversee and coordinate system design, development, testing, implementation, and technical support, whether it’s a simple website or a fully integrated, multi-function tool.

As you can see, I’ve had quite the oddball career.  But I wouldn’t want it any other way.

And if I haven’t already bored you enough with my bio, you can learn more about professional background by viewing my LinkedIn profile.

Thanks for visiting.  As always, your questions and comments are welcome.  :)
