The Resident Oddball
Who better to lead a group of oddballs than the resident oddball herself. That oddball would be, uh, me. :)
And who am I?
I am a goofy ol’ Polish-American girl born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I attended college in Ohio and Tennessee, ultimately graduating from Belmont University with two degrees — one in Marketing and another in Music Business.

And so the story goes… …We were standing outside acting goofy, on break from our grueling task of conducting telephone surveys. I had been ranting about one of my random points of view, talking excitedly with my hands, like my father. My co-worker chuckled, looked at me and said, “You’re our resident oddball!” He later went back up to the office, folded a scrap piece of paper, and made me a name-plate that read “resident oddball“. I’ve since lost the paper nameplate, but the title has stuck, becoming part my email alias, and eventually the outlook of my company, and really my perspective on life. |
Most of my career has been spent working, dreaming, learning, and growing in the creative industries. Click here to read a fascinating summary of my work experience. ;)
I currently live in Texas, where I thoroughly revel in such oddball activities as gardening, drinking coffee, taking care of my two cats, bike-riding, watching Food Network, laughing at The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, complaining about the August heat, walking with my neighbor and her dogs, and drinking more coffee.
I do some nerdy things too, like listen to NPR all day, watch documentaries, get in my share of facebooking, sneak in a C-SPAN panel conversation here and there, peruse various websites, forums and blogs, etc.
Recently, I decided that I should actually read all the books I own, as well as the ones I keep buying. You can keep up with what I’m reading (and how quickly) by taking a gander at my goodreads list.
Mostly, I love puzzles…which is kinda funny because I rarely solve the jigsaw or crossword kind. But if you give me a bunch of “things”, along with any of the following — a design program, small closet, compact sedan, suitcase, or any other type of <ahem> storage space — I will indeed make those “things” fit together and enjoy every bit of the process.
In closing…
I think ‘normal’ is ok, but a little overrated…
to be appreciated, like tradition,
but never clung to blindly.
We find magic in the perfect balance of ‘different’ and ‘wonderful’.
I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to visit our website, consuming all its pages of content, especially the silly parts about me here.
Please let me know how I can help you. I do very much look forward to working with YOU.
